สำหรับผมแล้ว บอกได้เลยว่าตั้งแต่เกิดมาไม่เคยท้อแท้ บางช่วงเวลาก็มีบางอารมณ์ไม่ดี แต่ก็เก็บไว้ในใจ เมื่อเห็นคนไข้เป็นทุกข์ มาหาเรา หากเราเอาอารมณ์ไปใส่เขา คนไข้จะจิตใจบอบช้ำแค่ไหน ดังนั้นถ้าคนไข้มาหาผมไม่ว่ากี่คนๆ ก็จะเห็นผมยิ้มรับอยู่ตลอดเวลา
มะเร็งเป็นโรคร้ายก็จริง แต่หากเราหมั่นดูแลตัวเอง สำรวจอาการและความเปลี่ยนแปลงอยู่เสมอ ถึงแม้จะเป็นมะเร็ง ก็มีความหวังที่จะรักษาให้หายได้ หรือควบคุมไว้ไม่ให้ออกมาอาละวาดได้ จากประสบการณ์การรักษาของผม มีคนรอดชีวิตมานับไม่ถ้วน หายขาดเลยก็มี หรือมีชีวิตอย่างปกติได้อีกหลายสิบปีก็มี
